Mark Mahoney, PhD

I am the Chair of the Computer Science Department at Carthage College. I have been at Carthage since 2002.

Before coming to Carthage I was a Software Engineer at Motorola. At Motorola I worked on Two-Way Radio and Cell Phone software.

I earned my PhD in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology. My research interests are in Software Engineering, Software Design, Design Patterns, State Based Systems, and Object-Oriented and Aspect-Oriented Software Development.

I also run a very small software company called Cooper Conrad Software Engineering. I love solving interesting problems and writing code. If you need a consultant or have a project that you'd like implemented, feel free to drop me a line at .
